The worship team from the Kingston church and band from the May Pen church led the saints in a very energetic half hour of West Indian style praise and worship; simply stated—a lot of jumping and waving.  They gave soul stirring renditions of contemporary songs, combined with some real old time favorites. Being present at this service reminded of me an old time convention meeting.

Bishop Stewart and Nicholas

By Jermaine Cameron

On August 22, 2009, hundreds

of worshippers, local residents, and elected officials gathered in the town of Red Bank, Mandeville to witness the launch of the vision that God has given to Dr. Ermine Stewart; Bishop and General Overseer of the Mira

revealed to the esteemed Bishop.

Referring to himself as a “Planter of Churches” Bishop vividly described for those gathered under the big blue and white tent, the layout of his vision, making references to the banner displayed behind the pulpit depicting what the completed project will look like.  With eyes of faith, members of the Miracle Temple Ministry International worshipped God even the more.

Banquet of Opportunities

Formal dresses, suits, hair salons, and cameras; these were some things of the things slated on the agenda for those who attended the True Love Waits /Scholarship Banquet. With exquisite food, words of wisdom from ministers, as well as fun-filled games and prizes for the winning participants, this event turned out to be one of glamour and pure entertainment. However,

the banquet was more than enjoyment.

Hosted by the Youth Department, it is one of the few events to raise money for the Vincent S. Somers Scholarship Fund— in honor of the late Vincent S. Somers, who was once the Youth President of Miracle Temple Ministries; previously known as

Church of the First Born. He was extremely involved with activities and events concerning the youths. His concern was not a direct result of his position, but he genuinely cared about their relationship with God and their involvement in the community. Although he’s no longer with us
